This album (and all of the music within) is made in loving memory of my mom, Nancy Hatamiya. She was always, and continues to be, my greatest inspiration in art and in life. The compositions on this album were all written at different times over the last nine years, as I processed my mom’s battle with cancer and her subsequent passing. The album does not run in chronological order of this process, but rather acts in whole as a snapshot of the many facets of grief, loss, and love.
Many thanks to Albert, Colin, Yunus, Jacob, Logan, and Colin for fully investing yourselves into my music. Each of you has a distinct musical personality but also a strong sense of collaboration and selflessness. This project could not exist without any single one of you!
Thanks to Stuart Schenk for being onboard with the big picture, deciphering my often vague suggestions, and making the recorded music sound absolutely incredible.
Thanks to Dan Rosenboom and Orenda Records for your enthusiasm and support of the project and all your work in getting this music out in the world.
Thanks to Emma Dayhuff for lending your bass for the session.
Thanks to Grace Wakelee-Lynch for your love and constant support. None of what I do would be possible without you as my best friend and partner!
Thanks to my uncle, Erik Monson, for allowing the use of your wonderful painting for the album art.
Thanks to my immediate and extended family for trusting and supporting me on my musical journey.
While this album is directly dedicated to my mom, all of you have played a humongous part in ensuring that I have a path to both success and artistic expression. In particular I would like to thank:
George Hatamiya
Lon and Lynn Hatamiya
George and Kashiwa Hatamiya
Jil, Frank, Sarah, and Sam Esser
Kim Hatamiya and Erik, Kenji, and Seiji Monson
Joan, Paul, and Stephanie Fujii
Ruth Sasaki

Absolutely ridiculous and brilliant at the same time!!
I couldn't set my favourite tracks (Do Hot Girls Like Chords & It's All Nothing Until It's Everything)
The skill and talent you can hear on this album is just mind blowing. Can't believe I've only just discovered them!
The videos on Youtube are well worth a watch as well - the videos for my favourite two tracks are just brilliant, and are totally worth it to see Sam Wilkes living his best life on the bass!!

I could write so much about this but it would only come down to "'this' is great", "'That' is awesome!" so wouldn't make sense, so in short, this is a collection of some really, really, really good songs! It get's you in such a good mood! motakay
